While mocked-up interactions between the two characters are fun, the trailer also manages to pull together scenes from across the two contrasting titles in a way that just about maintains a level of believable continuity. A Riddler murder in this week's episode of Gotham was a huge reference to Jim Carrey's version of the character from Batman Forever.
